about kind krafts

Picture
kind krafts is a grassroots, arts-based organization and NSPIRG working group run by volunteers and community members. We facilitate art-based workshops, programs and create krafts to sell at local shops and farmer's markets. Proceeds from our krafting sales are donated to our partnered organization for the season. We also offer an Opportunity Vendor Program for artists who come from historically marginalized populations to sell their products at our tabling events to provide a space for folks to express their artistic individuality while having access to the tools required for the sales and distribution of their art.

Our partnered focus changes quarterly under the following themes:

environmental sustainability

animal welfare

who are we supporting this season?

We serve as a platform for social media exposure, raising awareness for the cause of the season, creating opportunities for change, and community involvement (by hosting art-based workshops and events related to the cause).

We also suggest a collaborative event between both organizations at the end of the cause so that everyone can be involved in the partnership and raising awareness about the cause!

MISSION: krafting for a cause

VISION: to create unique, handmade krafts with folks in the community. Our krafts are made by a variety of volunteers, students, and community members. We then sell those krafts at farmers markets and tabling's, and facilitate workshops and host arts-based programs and events. We utilize the sale proceeds from tablings and events to give back to local organizations in need throughout the community. Our focus changes every season to a new cause following under the categories of environmental awareness, animal welfare, and humanitarian causes. Once our focus is chosen, all of our proceeds are donated in support of said cause and our workshops/events help to further raise awareness around the focus for that time period.

kind krafts started as an idea. This idea manifested into an organization that helps many people from just one person's transaction or one human's participation in a workshop. The power of one was the original idea, how ONE person can make a difference for MORE than one person. Eventually this idea grew into what is now kind krafts! Thank you for your unconditional support and for helping the community around you. You are changing lives.
